The heart of Manhattan is home to an impactful and solemn monument known as the 9/11 Memorial Pools. This involves a thoughtful arrangement where responders' names are placed next to their squad, and victims who had relationships with one another have their names adjacently arranged. In addition, a beautiful "Survivor Tree" offers a striking visual metaphor for endurance and rebirth. This Callery pear tree, which astonishingly survived the devastation of 9/11, was nursed back to health and replanted at the memorial, standing tall amidst otherwise young-growth trees.
